Project Objective:
To execute the complete civil infrastructure and cable installation for a new, dedicated 430 Km optical fiber backbone from Amman to Aqaba Power Station. The project’s goal was to provide the physical infrastructure for a high-capacity, reliable network to serve 6 main GSM sites with dual access and 20-40 additional sites along the route, directly supporting Umniah’s strategic expansion and service enhancement in southern Jordan.
Outcome & Delivery:
The project was executed in strict accordance with the contractual technical specifications, scope, and sectional timeline. All 367 Km of civil infrastructure were prepared, and 430 Km of fiber cable were successfully deployed and accepted, providing the foundational backbone for Umniah’s enhanced network. By adhering to the phased milestone plan, the team systematically de-risked the project, ensuring the timely creation of a critical national asset that delivers on its promised capacity, coverage, and reliability objectives.
